| A lot of things can make a party a blast or a bust. Some things are controllable - some not so controllable as weather. Renting a tent can be helpful two ways: providing shelter from rain, or providing shade from a very hot sun. There are a few local services that provide these tents. They will come and set them up and take them down for you. Make sure you have ample tables and chairs for your guests to sit at and be comfortable. There are several places that you can get these from also. Usually disposable plates and plastic ware are used, but if you want regular dinnerware-that can be rented also. It is good to keep the guests entertained at a party. There are many forms available such as a DJ, karaoke, one man band, or a multi man band. I have contacts to several that will do different genres of music for your party participants. Remember to respect the neighbors. A good way to get around that is to invite them also. I have a list of local talented musicians, karaoke operators and DJs available. It is good to have a facility outside your home for your party especially if you do not have "city" water. Every flush will tax your well along with your septic system and the cost of repair/replentishment far exceeds the cost of renting a facility. There are a few types available including handicapped units and ones with hand washing units in them. Try to arrange overnight camping when possible. You want fond memories of your party not drastic ones. Suggest they bring a tent and stay the night so they can have fun with no worries. Tempt them to stay with a bonfire and a nice breakfast for the morning. Keep a eye on your guests and suggest that the over indulged ones stay or ride home with a sober driver. Maybe have one or 2 guests or family members be "designated drivers". You don't want to give these boys anymore things to do! I will be happy to assist you in procuring any of the above mentioned services as well as discussing any how to - where to - and what to questions you might have.
